Marine & Freshwater Fishmounts produce reproductions of fish which are so life like, it’s hard to tell them apart from the real ones, and unlike traditional skin mounts, are much more durable.

The traditional taxidermy mount (real skin used) is only offered on select freshwater fish. All other fish (freshwater and saltwater) are reproduced in fibreglass, and are finished to your exact requirements. Reproductions from a range moulds are also available, for those who want to purchase a mount without supplying a fish, such as a trophy for catch-and-release fishing. These reproductions are also suitable as gifts, home/office decor or mounted as club trophies.

Various options for mounting are available, including wall mount with a bracket, in a frame, with driftwood, or as a pedestal mount on a table or bench. Any ideas you have will be considered.

Care of Your Fish

PRIOR TO MOUNTING/FRESHLY CAUGHT FISH: In all cases a good specimen results in a good mount. Do not gut your fish. Initially take care of your catch by keeping it moist and cool. Do not expose to the sun or let the skin dry. Always keep the best side up. A good colour photo of the fish always helps.

Freeze your fish at first opportunity if it cannot be delivered immediately. Place your specimen  in a sealed plastic bag and then place it on a flat surface (e.g. a board) with the best side up. Do not place anything on top of the fish until it is frozen. Always phone to make arrangements for delivery.

CARE OF YOUR MOUNTED FISH: Do not hang your trophy in direct sunlight or near any heat sources. Dust can be wiped off with a damp cloth. Do not apply pressure to the fins or they may break.
